Born in the village of Ghosrana in Rajasthan’s Alwar district, Awadhoot Devidas Maharaj displayed an extraordinary inclination toward spirituality from an early age.
At the age of eleven, he renounced worldly life in search of the Supreme Truth.
Under the divine guidance of his Guru, Kajordas Ji, he embraced a life of intense meditation, discipline, and penance, dedicating himself completely to the realization of Brahman.
For years, he practiced rigorous austerities in the forests of Sariska, living with complete detachment from material comforts.
His unwavering devotion, self-discipline, and spiritual determination ultimately led him to attain the exalted state of “Awadhoot”—a state beyond worldly attachment, ego, and karmic bondage.
His realization affirmed the eternal truth that all life is one, the Divine resides within every being, and humanity itself is the highest religion.
